ARIA
ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) acts as
an advocate for the industry, domestically and internationally.
ARIA provides "blanket" licensing on behalf of its members
for various copyright users. ARIA collects statistical
information from its members and retailers.
APRA/AMCOS
APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association) is a non-profit association administering the Performing Rights of the world's composers, songwriters and publishers in Australia and New Zealand. APRA ensures that song writers and music publishers are paid the royalties to which they are entitled as quickly and efficiently as possible whenever it's members works are performed or communicated to the public.
AMCOS (Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society) represents virtually all music publishers in Australia and New Zealand - and, by way of reciprocal arrangements, the vast majority of the world's composers, writers and music publishers - for certain of their rights in musical works. Since 1997, APRA has managed the reproduction right licensing business of AMCOS including the reproduction of music in record manufacturing, broadcasting and for production music.
MIPI
Emstream supports the work of (MIPI) Music Industry Piracy Investigations which is a specialised organisation that provides investigative and intellectual property rights enforcement related services to the Australian music industry. MIPI conducts investigative preventative and educational activities in relation to music piracy in Australia. MIPI acts on behalf of the major record companies and the music publishers.
